Wolfram Fortin is in great demand as one of the most versatile viola players of his generation. He plays with leading chamber music groups and period instrument ensembles in Austria and abroad performing at venues like Wiener Musikverein or Concertgebow Amsterdam and prestiguos festivals throughout Europe and overseas.

He is working regularly as principal Viola with the Wiener Akademie (Martin Haselböck) and with other Ensembles like moderntimes_1800, Ars Antiqua Austria (Gunar Letzbor), l´Orfeo Barockorchester, Collegium Wartberg_SK, Freitagsakademie Bern, la stagione Frankfurt, and others more.

He has played at festivals like the Ruhrtrienale, Salzburger Festspiele, Händel Festspiele Halle, OCM Prussia Cove, La Chaise Dieu, the Al Bustan Festival in Lebanon, Innsbrucker Festwochen, the Cervantes Festival in Mexiko and the autumn leaves Festival in Morioka in Japan.

Since 2010 Wolfram Fortin is holding a teaching position in Vienna, at the Zentrum für Musikvermittlung Wien 14, where he has a class for Viola and chamber music.
